The Systematic Destruction of America
As our leaders decide the fate and sovereignty of our country, one issue looming on the horizon is the Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA). This issue is, without a doubt, one of the most pervasive issues facing our country today.
Although promises were made that NAFTA (a precursor to FTAA) would improve the economy of Canada, the United States and Mexico it has had a chilling effect on the economy of the United States. The devastating effects of NAFTA can be seen as our nation struggles to sustain American workers. The middle class is most affected as corporations outsource and illegal aliens continue to flood into our country. The effect on Mexican Campesinos is that many have lost their land because they couldn't compete with U.S. agriculture products. Maqiladora plants near the border have lost their jobs as factories have been moved to China.
The effects of FTAA will be catastrophic to the sovereignty of our country, as we relinquish our rights of self-determination.
How can we stop this trade pact? Start by becoming informed. You can begin by clicking on www.StopTheFTAA.org. Then call, write and fax your senators and representatives and let them know that you are against this destructive trade pact.
Last but not least, check the voting record of your senators and legislators. If they voted for NAFTA, chances are they will vote for FTAA.
